Toward a society that collects and utilizes a large amount of information by a huge number of sensors, it is expected to realize high dynamic range CMOS image sensors that can capture images in various environments and achieve high performance. In this paper, we propose a pixel structure that achieves high-speed HDR readout in a small area by converting photoelectrically-converted electrons in the photodiode of the pixel into voltage with appropriate charge-to-voltage conversion gains in three steps according to the amount of photoelectrons, and describe the device simulation results.
